'General Hospital' rumor: Luke Spencer to be killed off?

General Hospital” fans have been voicing opinions of the “new” Luke Spencer all across social media. While some think the writers are making Anthony Geary's character more like the Luke Spencer from the early days of Luke and Laura, the other end of the spectrum think the writing is ruining the character making him more unbelievable than ever. According to a March 21 report from Celebrity Dirty Laundry, the writers are trying to force Anthony Geary out of “General Hospital” because of his salary demands. Geary films the show approximately 18 weeks a year and garners a $1.5 million paycheck.

Whether or not “General Hospital” writers are trying to write out Anthony Geary is just speculation. The writers have been set on giving the soap an old feel, incorporating history into the current story lines. While some of it was quite welcomed, other stuff is making fans uncomfortable. The scenes between Kiki (Kristen Alderson) and Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) are downright creepy in the eyes of most fans, even though the Luke and Laura story line was born from Luke raping Laura.

As the story line develops, more will become clear. Right now fans aren't sure where things are headed and whether or not Anthony Geary plans to stick around “General Hospital." Fans will be sorry to see him go, but taking his character downhill like this is way worse. Hopefully the show and Anthony Geary will come to an agreement and fans can have the “old” Luke Spencer back.
