Love is a powerful force and when it is not returned, it can cause a person to go to extreme measures to have that love returned. In the August 3 episode of “General Hospital” Britt had a surprise for Patrick, Brad showed his human side and Morgan provided the evidence that implicated AJ as Connie’s killer.
Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) has tried for months to get Patrick (Jason Thompson) to return her love. She has spent months scheming to have him believe she was pregnant with his child, believing that it would bring them closer. But with the love she hoped for not being returned and Patrick’s threat to gain full custody of the child, Britt has confessed that the baby is not his which is hard for Patrick to believe now that he has fallen in love with the baby. On Tuesday’s episode, Patrick was very upset at Britt and was even more upset when she named the father as being Brad. She told Patrick that Brad helped her and in return received a promotion. When Patrick started getting physical with Britt by grabbing her, Nikolas (Tyler Christopher) showed up just in time to kick Patrick out. At the hospital, Brad (Parry Chen) became human towards Felix (Marc Anthony Samuel) just as Felix tried to get the truth out of him about Britt’s baby. Brad let his guard down and told Felix he had real feelings for him and that he is more to him than his “sex drive”. His story about being bullied led to Felix showing some sympathy towards Brad and in a way he started to connect with him. Just as they started to get a bit closer in the moment, Patrick showed up and decked Brad. Britt’s current lie is going to delay any chance of Felix returning the feelings Brad has expressed. It may be those feelings that eventually expose the truth about the real parents of baby Britt is carrying.
Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) is really starting to establish himself as a jealous ass. After finding the murder weapon, Morgan decided to do the right thing and turn it in to the cops but before he did, Kiki (Kristen Alderson) told him to consider Michael (Chad Duel) and how it would affect him if AJ (Sean Kanan) was locked up. Morgan told her Michael is better with AJ behind bars. Later, after he found out Kiki went to the police station to see Michael, Morgan showed more jealousy telling Kiki that she is his husband and doesn’t understand why she lied to him. Morgan is really starting to sense that his new wife doesn’t return the same feelings for him as she does for his brother.
At the police station, AJ was more worried about what Michael may think of him than the murder weapon showing up. He told Diane he didn’t remember what happened after he went to see Connie. He doesn’t remember pulling the trigger. Diane told him to just stay quiet and demanded that Anna (Finola Hughes) release him because they had nothing. Anna stood tall against Diane as she told her they did have the murder weapon thanks to Morgan. Later, AJ was arrested for the murder of Connie due to the fact that the only fingerprints on the gun was his.
At the hospital, a concerned Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Lulu (Emme Rylan) confronted Maxie (Kirsten Storms) about her almost breastfeeding the baby. They told her they will have to keep her away from their baby because she has an “unhealthy attachment” to the baby. Maxie pleaded with them that she is the last person they will have to keep the baby safe from but they already had their minds made up and then Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) confirmed their concern and agreed that Maxie should stay away from the baby. After Dante and Lulu left, Maxie asked Spinelli why he decided to keep the truth away from Dante and Lulu. Spinelli told her that he couldn’t tell them because the baby now belongs to them. He told Maxie it is now her punishment because she led them to believe they were the parents for so long that it would be unfair to take away their happiness. He basically told her that now she will have to live life being unhappy because of the truth she hid.
Elsewhere, Sam (Kelly Monaco) showed her appreciation to both Julian (William deVry) and Silas (Michael Easton) for playing a part in saving Danny’s life. She later personally thanked Silas for what he did which ended up leading to a kiss. Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) was caught staring at Julian who she just witnessed sharing a bonding moment with her daughter.
