Australian actor Zachary Garred has been cast in the role of Levi on “General Hospital.” According to a report by Soaps In Depth on March 19, Garred’s role will be a recurring role, but there’s always a chance he can stick around.

Garred confirmed the news, tweeting that his first airdate will be Thursday, April 3. He also tweeted that his excitement about being apart of the show.

“So long as Port Charles will have me I will be happy to hang around!”

The character of Levi is described as a New Age hippie type who may have a connection to Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and his first appearance will coincide with her return to Port Charles. Could Levi remind Maxie of Spinelli? Complete details about the character of Levi are being kept quiet, but seems like Levi will definitely enlighten the residents of Port Charles.

Although this is Garred’s American soap debut, he has appeared in the Australian soap opera “Home And Away.” He also appeared in episodes of the Australian television series “Foreign Exchange.”
