General Hospital” fans last saw Carlos Rivera shortly after he confessed to shooting A.J. Quartermaine. Sonny was responsible, but Ava forced Carlos into a corner because she threatened to harm Sabrina and her baby. As it turns out, the accident that Patrick and Sabrina were in ended with the death of their son, Gabriel. Carlos blamed himself for what happened to Sabrina. He has not been seen in Port Charles in quite some time but according to an August 28 report from Soap Opera Digest, Jeffrey Vincent Parise will reprise the role of Carlos Rivera tomorrow on “General Hospital.”

This is going to open the door for a lot of questions. It was just a matter of time before Michael found out the truth regarding who shot A.J. Quartermaine. Sabrina doesn't have a love interest anymore and now that she is back in Port Charles, fans are hoping the “General Hospital” writers pair her with Carlos. Will the charges against Carlos be dropped? Where will that leave him? There are so many different ways this all could pan out, and fans are excited Carlos will be back on their screen.

Fans were tweeting “#FreeCarlos” for quite some time when the story line was airing. Jeffrey Vincent Parise has gotten quite a fan base from his portrayal of Carlos Rivera on “General Hospital.” It is unknown whether or not this will be a long-term stint or just a casual thing. Having Parise on contract with the show would definitely be beneficial but for now fans are just happy he will be back!
