Daytime television is once again being represented on "Dancing With The Stars," as the show will have a soap star competing for the legendary the mirror ball trophy. "General Hospital" fan favorite Ingo Rademacher is the latest soap actor to put on his dancing shoes. He follows a long list of soap actors who have completed on the live reality competition show, including "All My Children" alums Susan Lucci, Cameron Mathison and champs JR Martinez of "All My Children" and "General Hospital" actress Kelly Monaco.
Rademacher played business mogul Jasper "Jax" Jacks on the Emmy award-winning soap on and off since 1996. "General Hospital" celebrates 50 years on network television April 1st.
The announcement of contestants was made on the Tuesday, February 26th edition of "Good Morning America." The last contestant competing for Season 16 wil be revealed at a later date. The new season begins Monday, March 18 at 8:00 p.m. on ABC.
Changes to the season includes the departure of pro dancer Maks Chmerkovskiy, who has been paired thought out the years with such celebrities dancing partners as Spice Girl Mel B, actress Kristie Alley and singer Brandy.
