'General Hospital' fans have mixed reactions to Michelle Stafford being cast

For months “General Hospital” fans have been playing a guessing game about whether or not Nina Clay would make an appearance in Port Charles. When Madeline revealed Nina had died to Nathan, fans assumed that was it. Wrong. Last week fans were given a surprise when Nina Clay appeared in one scene. As previously speculated, Michelle Stafford will be playing Nina Clay. According to a May 1 report from We Love Soaps, Michelle Stafford was brought into the studio to tape that scene without anyone knowing. It was then added to the episode after the fact.

The fan reaction has been mixed with the big reveal. “General Hospital” fans are unsure about Michelle Stafford being brought over after being on “The Young and The Restless.” The excitement fans have is because Stafford is incredibly talented and there is huge potential for an expanded story line. Other fans feel like Nina Clay wasn't needed in Port Charles and the writers could have worked on better story lines for actors who have been on the back-burner.

Social media has been buzzing about Michelle Stafford being revealed as Nina Clay. The Twitter feed for “Nina Clay” has been filled with comments, both negative and positive. This is a huge gain for “General Hospital.” Stafford left “The Young and The Restless” to work on her own project, but “General Hospital” was lucky enough to pick her up.

Michelle Stafford has done a great job keeping quiet about her role as Nina Clay. She even denounced the rumors a few months back and made some crude remarks about speculators. There isn't much information available about the story line surrounding Nina Clay. Fans are expecting Nina to come between Silas and Sam, which makes “Siam” fans a little nervous. As “General Hospital” moves into May sweeps, the story will become more clear and details will be revealed.
