'General Hospital' Doors to Stay Open

ABC's long running soap "General Hospital" was facing the light of cancellations; the ratings were down and the series moved from its' usualy 3pm airing spot to make room for Katie Couric's talk show, Katie. The past couple years, it seemed as though the age trend of soap operas, but of the last few months the gerne has been striving. Other networks like NBC and CBS have taken notice to the boost in their soaps ratings announcing the renewal of The Young And The Restless and The Bold & The Beautiful (CBS) and Days Of Our Lives (NBC).

However, ABC has yet to offical confirm or deny the pick-up of another season of GH, but if ratings are a factor the forcast looks good. Currently, the soap is ridding on the high of its' best season to date; on highnote for the series is that on Jan. 7th it aired its' most watched episode in the past 6 years.

2. The Bold & The Beautiful - 3.9 million viewers

3. General Hospital - 3.3 million viewers

4. Days Of Our Lives - 2.4 million viewers
