General Hospital” has a huge milestone coming up. Last year the show celebrated 50 years and this year will be just as special. On Feb. 24, the 13,000th episode will air. This is a big deal for “General Hospital,” especially because it is the only ABC soap left on-air. The writers struggled to keep the ratings high in recent years and over the last several months the ratings have been stellar. According to a Feb. 18 post on the official Facebook page of “General Hospital,” a sneak peek is available for the 13,000th episode. Fans will get to see footage from years past, actor commentary, and a little bit of behind the scenes work.

Right now the show is in the middle of February sweeps. A big bombshell was recently dropped. Fans of “General Hospital” have been waiting nearly a full year to get confirmation that Britt’s baby is Dante and Lulu’s, and it is one step closer to being revealed. Dante now knows he fathered the child but only Britt knows that Lulu is Ben’s biological mother. A mob war between Sonny and Julian is brewing with Ava caught in the middle. Donna Mills’ character will be revealed on Feb. 26 and Ilene Kristen is set to return as Delia at some point.

“General Hospital” fans are loyal. Many of them can remember watching when the show first began. While there are several generational fans, all of them still have great admiration for the actors. The show has been officially renewed so fans can rest easy knowing “General Hospital” will stick around for at least another year.
