General Hospital” fans have been waiting for a story line that would put the Quartermaines back on the front burner. Last week, their wishes were granted. A.J. Quartermaine is unconscious in the hospital after being shot by Sonny Corinthos. Both Monica and Tracey have been at the hospital alongside Michael as they wait for news. According to a March 13 report from Celebrity Dirty Laundry, another Quartermaine will be headed back to town. Wally Kurth plays Ned Ashton, son of Tracey. The last time fans saw Kurth on-screen was just over a year ago.

Wally Kurth has always been a fan-favorite among “General Hospital” viewers. Many of the long-term fans have been asking for the Quartermaines to have a developed story once again, and it looks like this is it. While it is unknown when Kurth will be returning to Port Charles as Ned Ashton, fans can assume it will be within the next few weeks. Speculation is that he is either there to support the family as A.J.'s life hangs in the balance of life and death, or to help his mother with something.

Port Charles is going to be shaken up soon as the “General Hospital” writers prepare for May sweeps. Donna Mills is headed to town and Wally Kurth is just steps behind her. To find out why they are headed to Port Charles, tune into “General Hospital” weekdays at 1 p.m. CT on ABC.
