"General Hospital" has a lot going on right now. Casting is a huge part of making the show work and pleasing fans. There have been new characters coming and going, but many of the additions during the 2013 year were old characters returning home. According to a Feb. 6 report from Celebrity Dirty Laundry, "General Hospital" is casting a new male character named Levi. The role will be only for a short stint, not recurring.
Fans are wondering where Levi will fit in at "General Hospital." He is supposed to be in his late 20s or early 30s. This would put him in the league with Patrick, Sabrina, Lulu, Dante, and Nathan. It looks like he will be an environmental activist and be less involved in appearances. His connection to Port Charles is a mystery right now, but there will have to be a backstory built quickly.
Fans aren't thrilled with the idea of a character coming in for a short time and leaving again. "General Hospital" has kept stellar ratings over the last 12 months and are working to keep them high. While it is true that fans are loyal, doing something to upset them may prove to be bad for the show. For now Levi is just a name without a face but the actor playing him should be announced in the near future.
