There were more twists and turns last week on “General Hospital.” Carlos (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) confessed to killing A.J. Quatermaine, but that only made Carly (Laura Wright) and Franco (Roger Howarth) even more suspicious of Ava (Maura West). Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) got away with yet another crime; Madeline (Donna Mills) revealed another secret to Nathan (Ryan Paevey) and Luke (Anthony Geary) ordered Julian (William deVry) to kill Ava. Here’s what to expect the week of May 5 on ‘GH.’

As Julian points a gun at Ava, she pleads with her brother. Will Julian give in or will he take out his sister? Olivia finds out Sonny (Maurice Benard) slept with Ava and she confronts him. Sonny sends Shawn to track down Ava. Shawn is surprised by some information Julian shares with him. The mob storyline begins to heat up even more when Duke (Ian Buchanan) tries to convince Anna (Finola Hughes) to join forces in taking down Julian.

Ava has more than Julian to deal with this week. Carly and Franco find a clue that could lead to answers about who really killed A.J. What they find out sends Ava into a state of panic as she worries about what they uncovered. She also has to worry about her relationship with Morgan (Bryan Craig) who confides to Kiki (Kristen Alderson) about being betrayed by both Ava and his father.

Michael (Chad Duell) has a talk with is uncle Luke this week. He wonders what is going on between Luke and Kiki. Ned (Wally Kurth) becomes convinced Luke embezzled money from ELQ and teams up with Michael to uncover the truth about Luke. The Quartermaines bond together to protect the family company.

Nathan will admit his concerns about Levi to Maxie (Kirsten Storms), but will she listen or even take them seriously? Liesl puts a dent in Lucy’s (Lynn Herring) plans for the 2014 Nurses Ball. Not everyone will be able to attend the Nurses Ball. Who will be there and who will not be there will lead to some surprises.

Down the Road: The 2014 Nurses Ball will have many surprises leading to some twists and turns that will make this a very memorable event. Alexis and Jordan become instant enemies. Michael finds out about Sonny shooting A.J. and also about his mother knowing the truth. Silas (Michael Easton) is shocked when Nina Clay (Michelle Stafford) arrives in Port Charles very much alive. Juan returns to Port Charles to support and comfort his cousin Sabrina.
