General Colin Powell key note speaker in Indianapolis

The former Secretary of State and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Colin Powell is scheduled to speak at Indianapolis Marriott downtown at 7:00 pm. General Powell is a four-star general which includes two presidential medals of freedom. He has written two best-selling autobiographies, “My American Journey” and “It Worked for Me”.

Today is the conclusion of the Steward Speakers Series. The series marked the organization’s 28th anniversary. It is one of Indiana’s longest running and most prominent speaker series. The series began September 30, 2013 with NCAA President Mark Emmert. Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis is the title sponsor for this season.
