Our Genealogy Group meets monthly at Clayton State University, 2000 Clayton State Blvd, Morrow, GA 30260. The meetings are held in the library, L200 from 3-5p.m.
8 Feb – “Archival Jewels from the Atlanta University Center Woodruff Library” will be presented by Andrea R. Jackson, Head, Archives Research Center Atlanta University Center. 12 Feb – The Friends of the National Archives monthly webinar will be “Exploring the Records of the Freedmen's Bureau” presented by Angela Walton-Raji. 26 Feb – Kenneth H. Thomas, Jr. will be the featured speaker at the monthly meeting of the Genealogy Society of Cobb County. The meeting will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 189 Church St, Marietta, GA. The meeting is open to the public and meets 7-8p.m.
28 Feb – “Sixth Annual Black History Month Celebration, Honoring Living Legends” will honor Clarence Carter, Jason Lary, Don P. Roberts, and Beverly “Guitar” Watkins.
