In its 85th year, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences big night will be hosted by funnyman Seth MacFarlane, who gave a glimpse of what to expect during the early morning nominations announcement where he made his cracks about Hitler and about female nominees no longer needing to pretend to like Harvey Weinstein. In addition, this year’s event includes both the youngest and oldest females (Quvenzhané Wallis, Emmanuelle Riva respectively) ever nominated for best actress in a leading role.

If you haven’t seen all of the Academy’s 9 Best Picture nominated films, don’t fret, you can still catch any or all of the films at a number of theaters around the city. Some are even available at Red Box (Beasts of the Southern Wild for one). In addition, AMC will run its annual Best Picture Showcase, where patrons can watch all of the 9 films (or fewer if desired) over the course of two weekends or one 24 hour period. More details can be found here.
