Fantasy Flight Games returns to Gen Con Indy in 2011 promising an experience that is bigger and better than ever before! Join them all four days for world-premiere demonstrations of their hottest unreleased titles, as well as hundreds of scheduled events where you can spend hours playing your favorite new and classic FFG releases.
One of their highlights this year is the extensive calendar of Living Card Game® events. These sessions cover all of their Living Card Game titles including their newest foray into the world of Middle-earth, the first ever cooperative LCG – The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game.
Their LCG events at Gen Con range in scope from ongoing learn-to-play demos and casual play opportunities, to highly competitive events specially geared towards veteran players. The weekend culminates in Fantasy Flight Games’ 2011 World Championships for A Game of Thrones: The Card Game, Call of Cthulhu: The Card Gameand Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game, where the very best card players in the world will compete to decide who is worthy to be named World Champion!

Rowboat Tournament at Gen Con 2011
Moosetache Games is hosting the “Inaugural Rowboat Championships” at Gen Con where $500 in prizes will be awarded to the top three tournament winners! In addition to earning bragging rights, finalists will receive a TrollandToad.com gift voucher that’s sure to put a smile on any gamers face (1st place = $300 value; 2nd place = $150 value; 3rd place = $50 value).
Rowboat is the bidding, trick-taking card game where trump changes throughout the hand! Players navigate their way through a varying spread of cards called “The Tide”. Rowboat is a game of precision, and trying to make your bid provides for a high level of drama and excitement! If you like classic card games like Spades or Euchre, then you will love Rowboat!
It’s still not too late to get in on the fun. All players are welcome to join the creators as they kick off the tournament on August 5th, 2011. To reserve a free seat log into the Gen Con online event system, and select a ticket for any of the following event codes: CGM1120552, CGM1120553, CGM1120554, CGM1120555, CGM1120556. The Tournament format is 1v1 single round elimination and seating is limited to 32 players, plus a waiting list once all seats are reserved. If the economy has you down and you aren’t sure if you can afford to attend Gen Con Indy this year, consider becoming a Gen Con Volunteer! Work just 16 hours, and you will be reimbursed for your 4-Day badge. Work 32 hours, and you receive badge and partial hotel reimbursement. Check out all the options on our Volunteer web pages. The Volunteer Application is online, so go to our Gen Con Community Downloads page and review the 2011 Volunteer Policies, then download the 2011 Page & Apprentice Volunteer Application. Fax, mail or email it to us before June 30th, and we will get you on the list!
Anime Schedule Online
Our anime schedule is finally online! Check it out here and browse through all the titles we’re going to be showing at this year’s convention. Everyone’s favorite late-night guilty pleasure is back, with the Cosplay Deviants hosting the Hentai Café on Friday and Saturday night again – but this time it’ll be even bigger with about twice as many tickets for 2011! We’re also partnering with the anime streaming web site Crunchyroll to show you a number of anime titles that are being broadcast in Japan right now. No more waiting to get your anime fix!
The Gen Con Film Festival is back for 2011, bigger and better than ever! This year's festival will spotlight Feature Length Films, Shorts, and Web Series. Unicorn City and Bloodtraffick will be premiering and we will also be featuring Ghild starring Michael Rosenbaum (Smallville). Ghild is about the struggles of an abnormally giant child.Over 60 films will compete for the coveted Best of Festival awards in each category. Many of the filmmakers will be in attendance doing Q&A sessions during their screenings and there will also be many film making panels featuring our filmmakers.
