The Geminid meteor shower is coming! The Geminid meteor shower will peak on December 13-14, 2009. Geminids are one of the most reliable meteor showers, and as long as the skies are clear it will be seen easily. The video below is of a past Gemini meteor shower, and it shows more activity than most of the meteor showers seen this year.
The Geminid meteor shower can be seen much earlier in the night than other meteor shower... around 9 pm CST. Meteor shower watchers will be able to see dozens of meteors per hour, and that number rises to more than 100 meteors when it peaks at 9 pm CST.
