At the 2013 Tipp City Mum Festival, one vendor stood out amidst the candle sellers, the shea butter merchants and the fragrance vendors: Maggie’s Allie.
It may have been because Maggie’s Allie uses quality essential oils to create aromatic products for home and body. It may have been because Maggie’s Allie takes great pride in creating thoughtful products to soothe body and soul. Or it may have been the presence of Bruce, the extremely handsome shar-pei hound mix and part-time quality control staffer.
Bruce played a vital role in the development of one of Maggie’s Allie’s best sellers: Doggy Fresh, a cleansing dog shampoo which neutralizes odors, soothes the skin and naturally repels insects. The essential oils of citronella, cedarwood, lavender and patchouli are infused into liquid Castile soap to create a product that will please both you and your dog.
One of the many fragrant Maggie's Allie blends is Cat's Meow (for people, not cats) - a fragrant blend of catnip and peppermint essential oils which comes in the form of soaps, body sprays and lip balm.
Gem City Roller Girl Miss Bee Haven creates a variety of handcrafted items which are good for the body, senses and soul: bars of soap almost too beautiful to use, body creams and sprays, aromatherapy oils, Chakra Anointers, alcohol-free hand sanitizers, honey, bath teas and salts, Thieve’s Oil multipurpose cleaner, DEET-free insect repellent, Despacho kits (prayer bundles), Man Cold fragrant vapor rub (also excellent for sore muscles), and ‘Fo Real Dough’, natural play dough scented with essential oils (lavender, mint, lemongrass, orange, and grapefruit).
If you would like to see more of her fine products, you can go to her website or check out her Etsy shop. You know Christmas is less than 12 weeks away, right? Maggie’s Allie will participate in Handmade Holiday Dec 5 and 6 this year, so mark your calendars!
