Fans of TableTop rejoice. Your favorite webseries about playing board games successfully campaigned for a third season via Indiegogo. Originally asking for $500,000 for a 15-episode season, the Geek & Sundry web show slayed the dragon and their goal by raising a total of $1.4 Million dollars. Once the initial goal as made, stretch goals were soon added. These included an additional five episodes if they hit $750,000 and a RPG spin-off show if they hit the $1 Million dollar mark.

In a press release e-mailed today, May 12, Indiegogo announced that the campaign broke the record for "most funds ever raised by a digital series on any platform." In addition, they also broke the record for "most funds raised by a digital series on any platform in its first 24 hours with $261,000 raised."

This just comes to show how much TableTop and gaming has been embraced by the community. Regarding the recent success of its campaign, Wil Wheaton, host and co-creator of the show, has this to say, "

it literally wouldn’t be possible without the support of thousands of people worldwide, and that’s just amazing. It’s been so overwhelming and humbling, I am so thankful to Indiegogo and everyone who has supported us."

Sheri Bryant, co-founder of Geek & Sundry, added, "The show exists to bring people together through the love for games, and so we feel honored by the tremendous response TableTop and International TableTop Day continue to receive from fans, brand partners and retailers."

Not only will those who helped funded the campaign get another season of TableTop, but they will also receive perks such as special card that can be used with Card Against Humanity, special recorded "Thank You's" from Wil and Felicia, dice bags, membership cards, and T-shirts. All of these, of course, are dependent on what the person contributed.

The RPG spin-off show is already in pre-production. However, it is not expected to be released until 2015.
