Get the bikes and helmets ready for a bike rodeo that will be hard to forget. Gear up the kids for a morning of fun, demonstrations and riding skills, while winning prizes at the same time.
The City of Beavercreek and the Beavercreek Bikeway Advisory Committee will hold a Bike Rodeo on June 7, 2014 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Shaw Elementary School located at 3560 Kemp Road in the rear parking lot.
Children K-6 grade are to bring their own bicycles and helmets.
Children will be required to demonstrate five bicycling skills, that will be taught to them during the event and will be awarded with prizes. Prizes will be awarded for each age division. K&G Bike Center and Dayton Cycle Club volunteers will provide a free safety check for all bicycles. A free bike helmet, provided by Children’s Medical Center, will be given to the first 25 participants.
The event is organized by the Beavercreek Bikeway Advisory Committee to promote safe biking. AAA Miami Valley provides a Bicycle Rodeo Kit for the event.
