A composite drawing was released today of a man who reportedly tried to kidnap a boy in Woodstock, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigations (GBI).

A GBI forensic sketch artist sat down with the 12-year-old Woodstock boy and drew a rough sketch of the man who has been accused of trying to lure the boy into a black Dodge pickup truck on March 26. When the boy walked off of a Cherokee County school bus after school, the man approached him and told him that his father was in the hospital. The man proceeded to tell the boy that he would have to come along in his truck to the hospital to visit his dad. Frightened, the young boy said he would have to ask his mom and ran to his house. The man went back to his truck and drove away.

The incident occurred in an unincorporated neighborhood close to Flint Drive and Trickum Road.

The man is described as a white male, middle-aged, with brown eyes and a scraggly, grey beard. He has a small build and was wearing a blue shirt with a pocket on the right side of the chest area, and a camouflage baseball cap. The black Dodge truck he was driving has body damage on the rear of the driver's door.

After viewing the school bus surveillance camera, authorities state that footage shows the black truck parked near the boy's bus stop on the day of the incident.

Anyone with any information is urged to call 911 immediately.
