Gaylord Texan Resort's Annual SummerFest Event Opens Memorial Day Weekend

This summer season, Gaylord Texan Resort invites visitors to experience an unforgettable summer vacation at the grandest resort destination in the Lone Star State. In addition to the property’s impressive grounds and amenities, its 9th annual SummerFest event, running May 25th through September 5th, 2012, will feature family entertainment, DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc. (Nasdaq: DWA) character activities, culinary programs, and the resort’s new 10-acre Paradise Springs outdoor pool & lazy river playground!

Splash into fun at Paradise Springs featuring 600-foot long lazy river with entertaining water features in addition to a 6,000-square-foot family lagoon including a 27-foot tall winding waterslide, a zip-line, two horseshoe-shaped hot pools, water basketball, and a dedicated toddler pool. Seating for 1,200 includes chaise loungers, beach chairs, and family-style rounds. For those who want the V.I.P. treatment, Paradise Springs offers private cabanas for rent daily, including flat-screen televisions, refrigerators, and fire pits.
