Gaylord Hotels support Autism Speaks through 'Rooms for Good' program

One of the leading names in the hotel and entertainment industry has teamed up with the world's foremost autism science and advocacy organization to continue an initiative that builds awareness and raises money for non-profit organizations through Gaylord Hotel's 'Rooms for Good' program.

Throughout the year, Gaylord chooses non-profit charities to support during a two month span. In a recent press release, Gaylord Hotels has announced that their March/April partner will be Autism Speaks.  The hotel will donate a portion of proceeds raised through a special package rate available at all four Gaylord Hotel resorts throughout March and April to Autism Speaks.

Past partners have included the Wounded Warrior Project, the Fisher House Foundation, the U.S. Marine Corps and the VH1 Save the Music Foundation.

The 'Rooms For Good' package rate starts at $179 per couple, per night.  They do vary per hotel.  Rate are based on availability and are offered at all Gaylord Hotel resorts, located in Nashville, TN, Washington, D.C., Orlando, FL and Dallas, TX.  To book a 'Rooms for Good' package, please visit RoomsForGood.com.

Autism Speaks

The world’s leading autism science and advocacy organization, Autism Speaks works to change the future for all who struggle with autism spectrum disorders by funding biomedical research into the causes, prevention and treatments, raising public awareness about autism and its effects on individuals, families and society and bringing hope to all who deal with the hardships of this disorder.

Since its beginning in 2005, Autism Speaks has made enormous strides, committing over $173 million to the research and development of innovative resources for families.  Autism Speaks is dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism, as well as increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.

In addition to funding research, Autism Speaks has created resources and programs, including the Autism Speaks Autism Treatment Network, the Autism Speaks’ Autism Genetic Resource Exchange and several other scientific and clinical programs.

“We are extremely grateful to Gaylord Hotels for its efforts to support the autism community,” said Pat Kemp, Autism Speaks executive vice-president of Marketing, Corporate Relations and Development.  “We encourage everyone to show their support by taking advantage of the Rooms for Good program.”
