Bleicher Gallery announces a new show by Malibu artist Gay Summer Rick. The series, titled “Series in Sand and Sky” is the exciting follow up to her previous show “Series in Fog and Sun.” The new series is inspired by her drives on the historic Pacific Coast Highway. Painting with a palette knife, her images consist of thick layers of paint which are rich in color and texture. These inviting landscapes vibrate with energy and life, drawing the viewer into a world of beauty, and showcase Rick’s ingenuity and talents as an artist.

Gay's works are inspired by the beauty in atmosphere, earth, air and water. Her work reflects her adventures in California, across the Southwestern United States, in New York City, and life in her Malibu neighborhood.

Where: Bleicher/Golightly Gallery is located at 1431 Ocean Avenue, Santa Monica, CA 90401.
