Gay Pride in the UK: Kelis gave Sunday night finale for Manchester pride 2010 (photos, video)

"Manchester, make some noise,"  singing sensation Kelis told an overflow crowd packed in for the Manchester Pride 2010 festival just before 10 p.m. on Sunday, August 29.    The crowd roared and Kelis sang.   She was the finale musical act on Sunday.   Monday is a holiday in the UK, so there were more people out than on a typical Sunday.  (See video of Kelis's  performance below)

Kelis drew a rave review from Manchester Evening News.   Dianne Bourne wrote, "...she had us all  in the palm of her hand."

Kelis has just finished her latest album "Fleshtone."   She has recorded five albums since she first launched her record career in 1998.

Earlier in the day on Sunday, crowds jammed the streets in and around the gay village, which is centered around Canal Street.   There was no repeat of the rain that rained on part of the parade on Saturday. 

After Sunday night's mainstage entertainment concluded, many in the crowd migrated down Princess Street to the Fac251 Club which was hosting the charity fundraising dance called "Flesh."
