‘N Sync’s Lance Bass is back making music. As E! Online reports on Jan. 20, the former member of the popular boys band is set to release a new song for the first tine in 12 years.

Fans did get a glimpse of Bass during the 2013 MTV VMA’s when the band members joined Justin Timberlake onstage in a mini reunion. Now Bass is releasing a new single titled “Walking On Air”, which debuts on iTunes Jan. 21. The song is a collaboration featuring Anise K, Bella Blue and Snoop Dog.

Bass tells E! Online in wake of the release that it has been two years in the making.

"For the last two years I’ve been listening to demos, just trying to figure out if I want to get back in the studio. I hadn’t heard anything that resonated with me. But a couple of months ago, a track from Anise K landed in my lap from a friend of mine and he was like, ‘I think this will be your first song.”

The song will be a dance track according to Bass who has been busy in other facets of his life. He has been busy promoting a documentary he executive produced and celebrating a new engagement to actor Michael Turchin. Since the coming out as gay in 2006, Lance Bass has become very active in the gay community as an activist and role model.

Speaking of the engagement, Bass and Turchin have dreams of a wedding at California’s Hearst Castle. He admitted he wants something big.

“I like a big spectacle. We’ve talked about throwing a huge reception so everyone can go and have a good time afterward.”

He’s also hoping his new song will provide a good time for many, many listeners.
