Lady Gaga seems to have an effect on everyone, including the very professional Anderson Cooper. As E! Online reports on Feb. 18, the CNN anchor revealed that the Grammy-winning singer convinced him to drink during an interview.

Cooper made the revelation during a guest appearance on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live”. He told host Andy Cohen that Lady Gaga got him a little tipsy. Not even Kathy Griffin was able to accomplish that feat.

According to the well-known journalist, the drinking occurred during and interview he did with Lady Gaga for the CBS news program, “60 Minutes”.

“She insisted that we do the interview at a bar and drink Jameson. I don’t drink, so I drank this glass of Jameson, which I had never had before, and I had to stop the interview like midway through because I was drunk. I mean, I had no idea what I was asking her!”

The 2010 interview went rather well despite Cooper not being able to hold his liquor. Although he admitted he didn’t know what he was asking the “Poker Face” singer, he was able to remain professional, at least on the camera.

Anderson Cooper said that it is not often that a celebrity has been able to rattle him and get him off his game. The only other person has been Madonna.

“[Celebrities are] generally less impressive in real life than you think they’re going to be…but like, Madonna is a hard interview because she’s been interviewed so many times. You’re trying to do stuff that won’t bore her and she’ll tell you when you’re boring her, she’ll be like, ‘OK, that was a really stupid question.”

Maybe next time he interviews the Material Girl, some Jameson might come in handy.
