Chef Luca is going national and this Saturday May 31 GauchGourmet is hosting an Italian tasting event with Chef Luca Della Casa of Silo Elevated Cuisine and Nosh. This event will celebrate Italian cuisine and Chef Luca’s going to competition on national television in June to become a ‘star chef’ and have his own show.
He will present a variety of Italian appetizers as well as two different risotto recipes using some of GauchoGourment’s best ingredients. Ingredients include seven year aged Carnaroli rice, candied Sicilian peels, Williams Pear in Branchetto Wine, Piedmontese Hazelnut oil and cream, Amarena cherries in syrup and the best olive oils and organic vinegars. He will also be sharing cooking techniques used to prepare an authentic Italian meal.
Tickets are $10 per person and available online and those who purchase tickets will also be entered in a drawing for a dinner at one of Luca’s two restaurants.
GauchoGourmet is a warehouse offering food from Europe, South America and other markets. It is open to the public and offers products like meats, cheese and an olive and salad bar. There are also lunch specials and fresh and organic produce from Johnson’s Backyard Garden on Saturdays.
