When the Gators take on Alabama on the road this year, many will be thinking that we will be watching a preview of the SEC Championship game. The two teams met in Atlanta, GA last year for the SEC Championship. Both teams came in undefeated so the winner was looking at a spot in the National Championship game, where UF unfortunately fell just short.

Florida will be looking for revenge as the Rolling Tide ended their hopes of winning another national title last season. With their new quarterback, John Brantley, the Gators will be looking to steam roll their way to a fourth national title.

The Gators, once again, will be facing a tough schedule as they will be playing on the road against Tennessee, Alabama, Florida State, and Georgia, as well as hosting LSU. The key match up will be against the defending champions, a powerful Alabama team. Although many believe Alabama is the team to beat, if the Gators can leave Tuscaloosa with a win, things will look promising for the orange and blue.

Being the number one team in college football is always difficult, but Florida looks very strong once again this season and should be primed to make such a run. It will take an exceptional season from Brantley as well as a strong defense for an always tough SEC in order for the team to do big things this year.
