Throughout history many have searched for methods to improve or make things easier for themselves and for everyone. Whether increasing a standard of living and quality of life or feeling God’s presence, in the attempt to better understand, much has been created, often causing more damage than good.
There have been tremendous investments of time, energy, and money, yet the results sought have eluded even the most dedicated seeker. Why this disconnect between investment and result?
The most precious gift in a lifetime is to understand its primary purpose, which is to remember the soul’s ultimate degree of spiritual awakening. Ask anyone who feels a sense of failure what is wanted most, and their answer will be to ‘know the Truth.” If a system of restoring this innate wisdom could be accomplished from within, one wonders why such difficulty? After all, what is being utilized is the body’s (across all levels-spirit, energy, physical) own natural intelligence and abilities.
“Love of God is what opens the doors of the spirit.”
It’s all about choices. The doorway is open if one has the willingness to choose the meaningful spiritual path. It has been said that a mind that resists change has deep-seated insecurities to overcome. One affirmation to help release from self-made limitations is: “Every day in every way, my mind is becoming more peaceful.” Whatever choices are made to construct a life, so be fearless and mindful of choices. The decision can be made in any direction, but what is woven in the end result; it belongs solely to the weaver.
The Three Doors (Poem):
“Three doors there are to the temple:
To know ~ To work ~ To pray …
and they who wait at the outer gate,
may enter by either way.”
The two ways referred to in this poem related to the three doors are: Deep study and prayer/meditation, or throwing oneself into definite activity. As a spiritual being duties are fulfilled from an appreciative perspective about true Self (Holy Spirit) and the wholeness of life; the soul’s forever sacred relationship and connectedness with God/Creator.
This is an orderly process that includes sincere effort to live holistically. Its way of daily living is combined with disciplined spiritual practice, as based on accurate information and growth in emotional maturity. It requires the self-reliance to accept gifts from Spirit, along with inherent responsibilities, and walk the path, independent of another’s opinions or behaviors.
In a recent edition of Truth Journal, the following was recommended, while wanting to know the reality of God:
- Patiently nurture mental/emotional calmness.
- Unwavering faith.
- Maintain private, personal spiritual practices.
- Avoid sad moods and feelings of hopelessness.
- Go deeper into the silence (meditation).
- Cultivate optimism and cheerfulness.
- Learn about spiritual, mental and physical laws of cause and effect.
- Express excellence in all aspects of life.
It is through this process that includes forgiveness of self and all others that new life-enhancing opportunities and experiences are provided through the grace of Spirit.
Gateways. These symbolic entrances can be into a new life or they might represent a communication between one world and another. From the lower to the higher, a shift, or the safe passage through the “eye of the needle” (a symbolic phrase related to the spacelessness of a soul passing through). Gateways have a protective aspect and are sacred places of divine power: The sheltering of the Great Mother, Lady Wisdom (Proverbs 8:3), with her blessings in time and eternity of Spiritual Wisdom.
Shinto is the indigenous spirituality of Japan. To the people of Japan, it is the way of daily living by spiritual practice, where gateways are considered to be a threshold from where the real journey of a soul begins. The torri (gateway) is entered with respect to the universal forces (kami), which sets the essence of being into the framework of honor, wonder and stillness, as first steps are taken into the realm of Infinite possibilities.
Moving toward the light. The best practice is to allow in fresh energy of new insights. This allowing, when combined with the awareness of pure essence of being, it delivers as one of its many gifts the realization of no separation between one’s material and spiritual life. It is at this point of knowledge and increased potential that actions become “wisely intentional and appropriate for every situation.” Mastery of states of being is essential for the discovery of Truth, as progress is made on the spiritual path.
“Peace and understanding are always found together!”
In moving toward the light, no matter the material life circumstance, one is capable of experiencing spiritual aliveness the Chinese call chi, the Hindus call prana and the Christians call Holy Ghost.
Be still, You are what you seek.
Love is your foundation, See this inside you.
You are everything and nothing, Embrace not knowing.
You are not broken, Nothing needs fixing.
You are free.
Stop – Listen – Breathe!
Just be you. (- The Light of God Within)
The flow of life is based on alignment with one’s authentic, high Self, that sacred place inside where nothing is wrong, and everything is as it should be. The stronger this vital energy is within, the greater the capacity for experiencing emotional maturity and spiritual wisdom, as the choice is made to nurture present day life, with the hope for a harmonious common future.
Affirmation: “Opening to Truth leads to Love. Even a true spiritual teacher cannot open up the truth for another. This is because truth is really within. It is an interior matter. Truth is God. Only the Spirit can know through innate Oneness.” (-ACIM)
