The Simic now seem to have a new schtick of combining the traits of two completely different animals into one mighty new creature, Doctor Moreau-style, and calling the resulting fusion a "krasis." So far, they've focused largely on cold-blooded animals, suitable for an aquatic environment such as their underground zonots. It was only natural that someone among them would eventually think to combine the strength of a crocodile with the agility and long tongue of a frog into... a Crocanura.
A simple, defensive common with evolve starts out as just that, but evolve creatures are never merely what they initially appear to be. Crocanura has a fat enough butt to fend off any sort of ground or aerial assault you might face in early turns, but as you drop bigger creatures than it (no hard thing since it starts at 1 power), your Crocodile Frog will grow to proportions that may make it seem more suitable for attacking than blocking by the late game, although keeping it around as a flying deterrent with a truly massive toughness is an attractive option as well. All in all, this cute little guy will certainly be a staple of green in Gatecrash Limited.
