Gatecrash spoilers: Apparent enters-the-battlefield trigger Avatar cycle (Photos)

Due to its nature as a guild set, Gatecrash naturally contains a lot of horizontal cycles, either continuing ten-guild cycles from Return to Ravnica or making its own insular five-guild ones. But the guildless cards shouldn't - and won't - get left out of the cycle love either. Two of the spoiled cards released thus far seem to be the first two cards in a rare Avatar cycle that is perfect for EDH. First, StarCityGames previewed the blue entry, the spell-recurring scourge of opponents who like expensive instants and sorceries, Diluvian Primordial. Then, Canadian Magic site ManaDeprived gave us a great way to deal with creature threats massed at you from every side, the Swords to Plowshares-emulating Luminate Primordial. These two happen to be in the colors of Avacyn Restored's plethora of blinking effects, so it'll be interesting to see how they might be used in Standard Constructed as finishing combos with the likes of Deadeye Navigator.

There seem to be three cards left in the cycle, however, and if I might be so bold, I'd like to speculate on how they'll look:

Black - Diabolistic Primordial - When Diabolistic Primordial enters the battlefield, each opponent reveals his or her hand. For each player, choose two cards in his or her hand and that player discards those cards.

Red - Tyrannizing Primordial - When Tyrannizing Primordial enters the battlefield, for each opponent, untap target creature that player controls. You gain control of those creatures until end of turn and they gain haste until end of turn.

Green - Prelapsarian Primordial - When Prelapsarian Primordial enters the battlefield, for each opponent, destroy target noncreature permanent that player controls.

What do you think of these two previewed cards and what effects do you think the rest of the cycle will have? Let me know in the comments.
