'Gatecrash' event decks 'Rally and Rout' and 'Thrash and Thrive' detailed (Photos)

Today Jan. 14, 2013 Wizards of the Coast announced two new "Magic: The Gathering" products: "Gatecrash" event decks "Rally and Rout" and "Thrash and Thrive." Unlike the "Gatecrash" Intro Packs, the new event decks were built specifically for Friday Night Magic.

Like the "Return to Ravnica" event decks "Golgari: Creep and Conquer" and "Rakdos: Wrack and Rage," both of the new "Gatecrash" event decks will feature a full deck of 60 cards, 15 card sideboard, spin-down life counter, strategy insert, and deck box.

Lay down the law with a martial force led by the zealous Boros Legion. Attack with waves of battle-trained soldiers backed by aggressive support magic. Outwit the other guilds and you’ll stand alone on the glorious field of battle.

The Simic Combine has no qualms about pushing the limits of life. Take command of its unrestrained ambition to engineer monstrous minions fueled by abundant mana. Let your creations loose at your enemy’s microscopic army. It’s feeding time.

The two decks will be available on Feb. 22, 2013 for an MSRP of $24.99. They'll be printed in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Japanese.
