Nightveil Specter does several things. First, it helps mill your opponent without fear of filling their graveyard with a Angel of Glory's Rise or other large threat like Angel of Serenity for them to target with Unburial Rites.
Nightveil Specter can also provide you with card advantage. You may not be playing the same colors as your opponent, however there's the beauty of this card: Nightveil Specter allows you to play their lands, giving you the right mana you need to use their cards against them.
If you want to score a free promotional copy of Nightveil Specter you better hurry and check with your local game store. According to the announcement today by Wizards of the Coast:
The first 20 (for Core locations) or 30 (for Advanced locations) people to purchase a Magic: The Gathering Gatecrash Booster Box at participating locations will get a free alternate-art premium Nightveil Specter promo card!
How will you use Nightveil Specter?
