Amber Portwood rose to fame on the MTV show “Teen Mom,” but being in the spotlight is what helped to lead Amber Portwood down a dark path. After having some troubles, things started to get worse for Amber as she struggled with a drug addiction. After failing to meet the requirements ordered by a court ordered drug rehabilitation program, Amber was sent to prison for a five-year sentence. It has been a year, though, and with good behavior, Amber Portwood will be out of prison next month. Even though the former “Teen Mom” is likely happy about her release, Gary Shirley revealed on October 3 that he is a little less than thrilled.
Since Amber Portwood has been in prison, Gary Shirley has been taking care of their daughter, Leah. During that time, he has been able to make all parenting decisions for the little girl without having to worry about co-parenting. With Amber being released from prison, though, things are about to change.
Gary Shirley said, “God I love not having diverse parenting issues. All will soon end, soon. Boo! Oh well I'm a good daddy!”
Why is Gary Shirley worried about co-parenting, though? He and Amber Portwood have had their troubles, but Amber has reportedly turned her life around while behind bars. Will these two go back to arguing or will they be able to make amends for their daughter?
One thing is certain and that is these two will not likely get back together. Gary Shirley reportedly has a girlfriend.
Do you think Amber Portwood and Gary Shirley will be able to get along for their daughter?
