While no real confirmation has come from director Christopher Nolan, nor any credible studio exec or writer on the next chapter in the Batman saga, that hasn't stopped the denizens of the San Diego Comic-Con from salivating when Gary Oldman dropped some big news at the massive geek convention.
After finishing up on The Book of Eli panel at Comic-Con today, Oldman was asked by a fan during the Q&A about what his next project will be be. "The next Batman is shooting next year. It's at least two years away," Odlman said. "But you didn't hear it from me."
Oldman played Commissioner Gordon in both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.
The Book of Eli is directed by Albert and Allen Hughes and also stars Denzel Washington and Mila Kunis. The film arrives in theaters on January 10, 2010.
