Cleveland OH - Gary Numan the quintessential 80’s pop star made a rare Cleveland appearance last night that drew fans from all over . I met fans from Chicago, Rhode Island , California ,Michigan and even some United Kingdom citizens residing right here in Cleveland . Times have changed and so has most music and stylings and so has Gary . He has gotten way better then you can ever imagine .I expected some electronica but what I got was without a doubt one of the best acts I have ever seen I have been to thousands of concerts .The grandfather of keyboards is much more than that . He is aggressive , melodic, heavy and pure rock n roll . Rock Hall are you listening ? Born in England his music has enveloped many genres and countries with decades of performing to international audiences .I spoke with long time fan Shannon of North Olmsted who has been following him since his 90’s releases .She stated some of her favorite songs he performed last night were “ Love ,Hurt,Bleed”,” I am Dust “ and “ Here in Black “ .Brian A. formally of London now living in Cleveland saw him in 1983 and states he is even better now . I have to agree as well .Some of his other songs played that night were “ Everything Comes Down To This “ , Haunted “ Are Friends Electric “ and the best, most heaviest version of “ Cars “ I have ever heard . I have to admit I was a passing fan but do enjoy most 80’s music but this was my first time seeing him however it will not be my last . I give huge props to the Beachland owners for bringing in this amazing night together . I special note to opening acts Big Black Delta and Roman Remains they kept the fans attention and did a great jobs as well .
