Owings Mills, Md,.--The Baltimore Ravens announced that Gary Kubiak has been selected to be the Ravens' offensive coordinator.

Kubiak was fired as the head coach of the Houston Texans during the 2013-2014 NFL season. He was their coach for eight seasons, taking them to the playoffs in 2011 and 2012, with the offense ranked in the top 10 for four out of the past six years.

ESPN quoted Kubiak saying "This is the best day I've had in two months, " Kubiak said. " It gives me a chance to be part of a championship organization."

According to NFL.com, Kubiak was in talks with the Cleveland Browns, but the team did not project the options that he wanted. Enter the Ravens, who signed Kubiak and then Rick Dennison as the Quarterbacks coach.

This signing is a good turn for next season as Kubiak. This is the same Kubiak who came from the Bill Walsh coaching tree to instruct Hall of Famers such as Steve Young and John Elway.

The most important factor that Kubiak believes builds the strong team starts with the man under center.

"You build your offense around your quarterback," Kubiak added, "It starts with Joe."
