Houston Texans head coach, Gary Kubiak, was fired Friday. According to Bleacher Report Dec. 6, Kubiak was let go after having an 11-game losing streak. This originally came from NFL insider, Jay Glazer. He tweeted about the news he heard from assistant coaches.
Glazer tweeted this Friday:
"Just heard from a Texans member who told me Coach Kubiak has informed coaches he has been let go"
A minute later, Glazer posted another message that read:
"Again, Texans assistants have been informed by Coach Kubiak that he has been fired. Coach told them he loves them but has been let go"
Later on Texans insider, Deepi Sidhu, confirmed the news that Kubiak was fired.
"Bob McNiar: Under these extreme circumstances, we've decided to start eval process now. Gary Kubiak is no longer the head coach."
Sidhu added that Wade Phillips will act as interim head coach in the meantime. An evaluation on players and other coaches will be done during the Texans' search for a new head coach. A USA Today report claims Texans' owner, Bob McNair, will interview Phillips for a permanent job as head coach.
