Joe Jackson
The Jackson family is very much the first family of music in the United States and perhaps the entire world. On Tuesday Joe Jackson appeared at the Las Vegas premiere of Michael Jackson's 'This Is It.' Gary, Indiana Mayor, Rudy Clay was also in attendance and he announced his plans for a Jackson family performing arts center. He said, "The plan, is to build the tourist draw on a 10-acre stretch the city owns between City Hall and the Genesis Convention Center."
The Las Vegas premiere took place at the Palms Casino resort at Brenden theatre, and the CEO of Brenden Theatres, Johnny Brenden presented a $10,000 check for the endeavor.
According to nwi.com, 'Brenden called Michael Jackson "an unbelievable person" worthy of support. Joe Jackson then stepped over to Brenden at the microphone and said "that was a large check."'
