Farrell's 2008 Chard is both a classic example of a fine Chardonnay and it is also a great example of the quality of wines Farrell continues to make.
With a light gold color and an increasingly robust nose, the wine from the beginning invites more investigation. The nose, crisp at the beginning and increasingly pleasant, is but a warning of what is to come.
On the palate the Chardonnay exudes citrus and a hint of butterscotch. It is pleasantly acidic, making it a good match for white fish or a nice port dinner.
This is a wine with a fairly high rating (92) and a true following.
If you enjoy crisp Chardonnays, the opportunity to taste this wine should not be missed.
Have a winederful day!
