It was thirteen years ago when Garth Brooks, one of country music’s biggest superstars announced his retirement. He decided that he wanted to be there for his three daughters, rather than be out on the road touring, missing their entire childhood.

Now, with all three of his daughters having graduated from high school, one even blessing him with a granddaughter, Garth has decided to once again take his career off the back burner and kick it back into high gear.

Fans are thrilled. Especially his fans in Ireland, for it is at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland that Garth will make “The Garth Brooks Comeback Special Event.” Actually, not just one performance, but two, planned for July 25 and 26, 2014. Tickets will go onsale on Thu., Jan. 30 at 9:00 a.m. in Ireland via Ticketmaster.

Garth spoke about the event, saying, "Before we go back on tour in the Fall of 2014, I want to challenge myself, the band, and crew. In '97, we were lucky enough to play Croke Park, the stadium was under construction. 130,000+ of some of the greatest fans in the world. I was quoted then as saying 'When this stadium is finished, I would love to come back and try to fill it again...this time to the brink.'...and we're back to do just that.”
