The Garth Brooks live concert announcement was made via his Facebook page and confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter on Oct. 28, Brooks’ concert special will air on Friday, Nov. 29 on CBS from 9 p.m. until 11 p.m. ET.
The concert, billed as a "rare live broadcast special" will feature Garth Brooks in an intimate setting. Brooks will pay tribute to those that have influenced his music over almost three decades. Brooks’ influences are eclectic and cover a broad spectrum of artists including James Taylor, Simon & Garfunkel, Otis Redding, Bob Seger, George Strait, Merle Haggard and the late George Jones.
Garth Brooks plans to perform classic songs by his favorite artists and show how they have influenced his greatest hits like “Friends in Low Places,” “When the Thunder Rolls,” “The Dance” and “Unanswered Prayers.”
