Garland offers one-day car care clinic

Coming on short notice, the North Central Texas Council of Governments teamed with several area automotive shops to offer a one-day maintenance and upkeep workshop. Designed to aid in both fuel efficiency and emissions reduction, this free workshops allow motorist a chance under the hood.
The North Central Texas Council of Governments, a broad organization comprised of many city and county elected officials along with agents within a county’s administration, oversee many vital qualities of the region - for example: water supply, traffic flow, and air quality. The NCTCOG sided with the national effort, Fall Car Care Month, to reduce auto emissions and improve the overall area air quality.
Garland residents can get on board with the program by visiting City Garage (972) 530-2886, at 6246 N. Jupiter Road, October 15 at 7:30 p.m. This free clinic, yes - free, offers fundamental car care instructions. The clinic covers proper tire inflation, instructions on how to change a flat, checking fluid levels and even advice on some of those incessant flashing dashboard lights. In time with the winter months just ahead, this clinic proves beneficial to all.
