Garden workshops January 2013

January is a good time to learn gardening techniques to get plants ready for spring growth and planting of seedlings.

Garden workshops and classes are offered in different locations around the Vegas Valley even in winter.

Provident Community Garden is offering a garden workshop on plant propagation this month.

Lucy Whiting will be conducting the workshop covering how to start seeds indoors.

The workshop will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2013 beginning at 7:00 pm.

A Gardening in Small Places – pruning workshop is scheduled for Saturday, January 12, 2012 by the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension.

The workshop will be conducted by Dr. Angela O’Callaghan and will be on the pruning of fruit trees, desert plants and ornamental plants.
