Earlier this week, it was announced that the search for the man who walked into his former workplace in Garden City had officially ended.
Unfortunately, there will be no justice for the two people who were shot in the attack, since the shooter was found dead.
The nearly week-long manhunt came to an end in the Hudson Valley, miles away from the site of the shooting, which took place at the lighting company near the Roosevelt Field Mall.
The body of gunman Sang Ho Kim was found on the shore of the Hudson River, near Rockland County. His SUV had previously been found in Putnam County, New York.
Sang, who was previously employed at the lighting company, shot two people in an alleged dispute over money he was owed. One was killed in the attack, and another is still recovering.
Thankfully, this horrific episode is now over, although the victims in this case should never be forgotten.
