"Garage Sale Mystery" is a Hallmark Original Movie that premiered on Hallmark Channel on Sept. 14, 2013. The movie stars Lori Loughlin ("Full House") as a career garage sale hunter who stumbles upon mysterious burglaries and a possible murder.
“Garage Sale Mystery” also stars Andrew Dunbar (“Arrow”), Rick Ravanello (“Dose of Reality”)
and Cameron Bancroft (“Supernatural”). The movie is based on Suzi Weinert’s novel, Garage Sale
Jennifer Shannon (Loughlin) is an expert at finding diamonds in the rough at garage sales and reselling them at her shop, "Rags to Riches." She also find treasures for her own family, such as an Atari game for her son or a piece of furniture for her husband Jason (Ravanello) to refurbish.
Jennifer is a regular on the garage sale circuit where she gets to know the other regulars, “The Englishman,” “The Dutchess,” “Stevedore” and a new regular, “The Stranger.”
One day, while going to garage sales, Jennifer is surprised to realize that the next sale is at the house of her friend Kate and her husband Ben, who have their items displayed inside. “The Stranger” and “The Dutchess” are at the sale at the same time and start sifting through Kate's stuff. Jennifer tells Kate not to sell a jade Buddha because it is too valuable. The two women make plans to go out to lunch.
A string of burglaries have hit the town and Jennifer notices a connection between the burglaries and the garage sales she had frequented. She notifies Detective Adam Iverson (Dunbar) who agrees that the connection is worth investigating.
The case escalates to dangerous levels when Jennifer goes to her friend's house and discovers her dead body. Even though the deceased’s husband, Ben Douglas (Bancroft), finds nothing missing in their house, and the police label the death as accidental. Even though the police deem the death an accident, Jennifer suspects that it may be related to the burglaries.
Utilizing her treasure hunting skills and problem solving instincts, Jennifer finds and pieces together clues to the burglaries and her friend’s death. As she gets closer to the truth, however, Jennifer discovers that crime solving can be far more perilous than any garage sale.
Can she uncover the “Garage Sale Mystery” before it’s too late, or will her investigation create problems that not even Jennifer can solve?
