In honor of Jimi Hendrix 70th birthday, Gap has decided to join the year long celebration of his life and music by selling limited edition Jimi Hendrix tee shirts. Two styles will be offered featuring the art from Jimi Hendrix's previously unreleased album “People, Hell and Angels” that was recorded in 1969 the same year that Gap was founded.
The tees shirts were pre-launched online at www.gap.com and at Gap's 1969 Soho store in NYC and Gap's Seattle, WA store. The tee shirts will be available in all stores on March 15th. Available in men and women sizes the shirts are priced at $29.95.

"This partnership is an opportunity to celebrate an influential, American artist whose music still inspires people today."

Gap, a global apparel company has always been focused on offering to its customers casual American style clothing that are truly iconic and allow an individual to express themselves. With the launch of these limited edition tee shirts at the same time as Jimi Hendrix's previously unreleased album the partnership opens a previously unopened window into the iconic musician's work.
