'Gang Related': Terry O'Quinn talks new FOX drama and life after 'Lost'

Fox’s new drama “Gang Related” premieres tonight at part of the network’s Summer Programming. Set on the gritty streets of Los Angeles’ toughest gang neighbors, a group of cops are set to clean up the streets anyway they can.

The show centers around a new member of the squad, Detective Ryan Lopez is the newest member of the task force. What his co-workers don’t know that Ryan grew up in the very neighborhoods that he is trying to take down, a powerful Latino gang called Los Angeleicos. Every day, Ryan is forced to balance the two very dangerous worlds as they collide.

“Gang Related” stars Ramon Rodriguez as Ryan, RZA as Ryan’s colleague Cassius and Terry O’Quinn as Ryan’s Task Force Boss, Sam Chapel. In the premiere episode, Ryan’s best friend and police partner is killed by a notorious gang member forcing Ryan to team up with longtime Task Force member Cassius sets to track the one gang member who has been at the forefront of the city’s war on organized crime. The show has a twist so fun and surprising, you won’t want to miss a single scene.

Classic TV Examiner caught up with actor Terry O’Quinn as he was headed into the "American Idol" finale to discuss his character, the twist at the end of the pilot and life after “Lost.”
