L. A. Noire, the action/adventure game is based on the heyday of Hollywood after the war, is due to release on Tuesday May 17th. It has been boasted to be a great game for those who like detective style games. Local area GameStop stores are going to have a midnight opening for those who cannot wait to pick it up and play it.
In L.A. Noire players will solve cases with crimes inspired by real life cases from 1947. The game is in fact based on an 8 square mile area of Los Angeles from 1947, which will give it a more realistic look. Pre-order through Monday evening and get two bonuses. These are a standalone case and 20 police badges.
Five locations will be open at 10 pm for patrons wanting to get the game at midnight. Sales will not happen until 12:01 am though. The locations are E Linden Ave, Brandt Pike, W Dorothy Lane, Wilmington Pike, and York Commons Blvd. GameStop recommends arriving early due to the possibility of long lines and with the excitement over this game, which may very well be true.
