The Xbox 720 has been highly rumored to be featuring technology that would prevent gamers from playing used games, and some new evidence has come up reflecting Microsoft's consideration of implementing anti-used gaming tactics in its Xbox 720 along with how gamers feel about it.
According to a report from Gameranx on Saturday, a new Facebook poll was posted on the official website for Xbox asking whether people would like to purchase a physical copy of a game or would they prefer to download it.
The response was overwhelming.
Within seven minutes of the poll being posted and out of the 1,084 people who participated in the vote, over 1,000 people said they would rather purchase a physical copy of a game, while only 84 people voted for the download option.
That doesn't bode well for the Games on Demand option that has been rumored.
Now even though this is a small sample of people, it does provide some insight as to how people may be feeling about digital and used gaming.
It's unknown as to exactly how all gamers feel about this topic as surely there are some for each side of the coin, but the majority definitely seems to be still favoring physical games.
Physical copies are something that will go away eventually, but gamers will be the ones who decide when they are gone, not the manufacturers as much.
